A Bad Impression(一個壞印象)
Six people were travelling in a compartment on a train. Five of them were quiet and well behaved, but the sixth was a rude young man who was causing a lot of trouble to the other passengers.(有六個人搭乘火車旅行，坐在同一車箱內(nèi)。其中五個很安靜，也很規(guī)矩。但第六個是個粗魯?shù)哪贻p人，給其他乘客招惹了許多麻煩。)
At last this young man got out at a station with his two heavy bags. None of the other passengers helped him, but one of them waited until the rude young man was very far away and then opened the window and shouted to him, "You left something behind in the compartment!" Then he closed the window again.( 最后，這位年輕人在一個車站帶著兩個沉重的皮箱下了車。沒有一個旅客幫他的忙。有個人一直等到這位粗魯?shù)哪贻p人走得很遠了，才打開窗戶，對著他大聲喊：“你把東西留在車廂里了!”然后，又把窗戶關(guān)了起來。)
The young man truned around and hurried back with his two bags. He was very tired when he arrived, but he shouted through the window, "What did I leave behind?" As the train began to move again, the passenger who had called him back opened the window and said, "A very bad impression!"( 年輕人轉(zhuǎn)過身子，拎著兩個沉甸甸的皮箱，匆匆趕了回來。他轉(zhuǎn)回來時，顯得非常疲倦，對著窗戶大聲喊：“我把什么東西留在車上了？” 當(dāng)火車再次啟動時，叫他回來的旅客打開窗戶說：“一個極壞的印象!” )

最動聽的歌
There was once a lonely girl who longed so much for love. One day while she was walking in thewoods she found two starving songbirds.
從前，有個孤單的女孩十分期待愛。有一天，在叢林里散步的時候，她發(fā)現(xiàn)了兩只餓得奄奄一息的小鳥。。
She took them home and put them in a small cage. She cared them with love and the birds grew strong.
女孩兒把它們帶回了家，放在了一個小籠子里。小女孩傾注了很多的愛照料它們，鳥兒一天天地好起來。
Every morning they greeted her with a wonderful song. The girl felt great love for the birds.
每天清晨，鳥兒們都會用美妙的歌聲問候小女孩。女孩情不自禁地愛上這兩只鳥兒。
One day the girl left the door to the cage open. The larger and stronger of the two birds flewfrom the cage.
一天，小女孩打開了鳥籠。那只較大的鳥兒便飛了出來。女孩兒十分擔(dān)心鳥兒會飛走。
The girl was so frightened that he would fly away. As he flew close, she grasped him wildly. Herheart felt glad at her success in capturing him.
當(dāng)鳥兒飛過來時，小女孩便緊緊地把它抓在手中。捉到鳥兒后，女孩感到非常高興。
Suddenly she felt the bird go limp. She opened her hand and stared in horror at the dead bird.Her desperate love had killed him.
突然間，她覺得手中的鳥兒漸漸沒了氣力。她趕緊松開緊握的雙手，并驚恐地看著已死去的鳥兒。女孩意識到是自己不顧一切的愛害死了它。
She noticed the other bird moving back and forth on the edge of the cage.
剛好在這時，另一只鳥兒在籠子里正用力地扇著翅膀。
She could feel his great need for freedom. He needed to soar into the clear, blue sky.
女孩深切地體會到它對自由的無限向往——它希望在藍藍的天空中自由飛翔。
She lifted him from the cage and tossed him softly into the air. The bird circled once, twice,three times.
女孩把鳥兒從籠中拿了出來，并用雙手將鳥兒托起，輕輕地拋向空中。鳥兒在空中盤旋著，一圈，兩圈，三圈……
The girl watched delightedly at the bird's enjoyment. Her heart was no longer concerned withher loss.
女孩看著鳥兒快樂的樣子感到高興極了。她已經(jīng)沒有時間去在意失去的東西，只是祝愿鳥兒能夠幸福。
She wanted the bird to be happy. Suddenly the bird flew closer and landed softly on hershoulder. It sang the sweetest melody that she had ever heard.
突然間，鳥兒飛了過來，輕輕地落在她的肩上。鳥兒唱起了女孩所聽過的最動聽的歌。
【篇三】
A man was going to the house of some rich person. As he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of the road. He said, "I do not want to eat those apples; for the rich man will give me much food; he will give me very nice food to eat." Then he took the apples and threw them away into the dust.
He went on and came to a river. The river had become very big; so he could not go over it. He waited for some time; then he said, "I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot get over the river."
He began to go home. He had eaten no food that day. He began to want food. He came to the apples, and he was glad to take them out of the dust and eat them.
Do not throw good things away; you may be glad to have them at some other time.

一個人正朝著一個富人的房子走去，當(dāng)他沿著路走時，在路的一邊他發(fā)現(xiàn)一箱好蘋果，他說：“我不打算吃那些蘋果，因為富人會給我更多的食物，他會給我很好吃的東西�！比缓笏闷鹛O果，一把扔到土里去。
他繼續(xù)走，來到河邊，河漲水了，因此，他到不了河對岸，他等了一會兒，然后他說：“今天我去不了富人家了，因為我不能渡過河。”
他開始回家，那天他沒有吃東西。他就開始去找吃的，他找到蘋果，很高興地把它們從塵土中翻出來吃了。
不要把好東西扔掉，換個時候你會覺得它們大有用處。
