中國幅員遼闊,在漫長的歷史發(fā)展進(jìn)程中,逐步形成了各地豐富多彩、極具特色的傳統(tǒng)民居建筑形式。
2005年,建筑專業(yè)的毛葛開始進(jìn)行傳統(tǒng)民居的研究工作,在見識(shí)過各種各樣的傳統(tǒng)民居后,她感受到傳統(tǒng)民居具有鮮明的地域特色,每座都是工匠們忘我勞動(dòng)的結(jié)果。從中,她也看到了中國人對自己生活的深深熱愛。
80年代城鎮(zhèn)化進(jìn)程加快以來,中國的傳統(tǒng)民居建筑正在大量消失,伴隨而來的還有對傳統(tǒng)建筑技藝、傳統(tǒng)建筑工具以及相關(guān)建筑知識(shí)的冷落。
作為看漫畫長大的80后一代,熱愛傳統(tǒng)民居建筑的毛葛想到了通過漫畫形式向人們介紹傳統(tǒng)民居,希望讓更多人看到傳統(tǒng)民居建筑的美并加入到保護(hù)傳統(tǒng)民居的行列,引起更多人尤其是年輕人對這一學(xué)科的興趣。她以簡單有趣的漫畫形式、通俗易懂的文字創(chuàng)作了面向年輕大眾的漫畫。
解析
“幅員遼闊”典型的四字結(jié)構(gòu),英文單詞,一個(gè)搞定,從不拖泥帶水。你想到的單詞是什么開頭的?V開頭的最簡單的,對不對?
“在漫長的歷史發(fā)展進(jìn)程中”估計(jì)不少人是直譯的,直譯不是錯(cuò),但考場上所有人都直譯,就說明沒有多樣性。以前講過相關(guān)的表達(dá),考場上的你,當(dāng)時(shí)還記得嗎?

“傳統(tǒng)民居”在整個(gè)語篇里面一直重復(fù),所以一定要想辦法化簡;喴彩怯泻锰幍摹H绻谝淮纬霈F(xiàn)譯錯(cuò)了的話,起碼可以避免后面集體跟著錯(cuò)。
“見識(shí)”是什么?See可不可以,能接受。但還有更恰當(dāng)?shù)谋磉_(dá)!暗赜蛱厣痹趺刺幚?“中國特色”已經(jīng)倒背如流的你,還會(huì)不知道答案嗎?
“工匠們”沒什么可說的。Craftsman。那么,看到后面的“忘我勞動(dòng)”,我想多數(shù)人都會(huì)處理成hard work。是的,考場上每個(gè)人都像鍵盤俠一樣打字,可不就是hard work的真實(shí)寫照嘛。
最后再說句非常小的細(xì)節(jié):時(shí)態(tài)。本段的時(shí)態(tài)是什么呢?一般過去式,還是現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)。其實(shí),并不好判斷。怎么辦?聯(lián)系下文的內(nèi)容來確定!
“伴隨而來的”可以直譯。最簡單的自然是變成“與此同時(shí)”。
“建筑技藝”的技藝,不是art,而是Techniques;工具,tools。那么“知識(shí)”是不是knowledge呢?可以是的。因?yàn)椋有更恰當(dāng)和常用的。
最后,這句話的時(shí)態(tài)一定不要搞錯(cuò)!!!同時(shí),注意化簡重復(fù),除了“傳統(tǒng)民居建筑”,還有后面的三處“建筑XX”。

In 2005, Mao Ge began her research on traditional houses as a student of architecture. After studying these different styles of buildings, she came to recognize their distinct regional character, believing that every building is a result of the craftsmen’s dedication and commitment. Also, she discovered the great passion in life among the Chinese people.
Throughout the long history of the vast China, there have emerged diverse and unique styles of traditional houses.
But with rapid march towards urbanization since the 1980s, these building have disappeared in great numbers. At the same time, age-old construction techniques, tools and expertise have faded into oblivion.
As someone born in the 1980s, Mao Ge grew up reading comic books like her peers. Thus the girl decided to present traditional houses in the form of comics, to help more people see their beauty and join the protection campaign and to spark interest in this discipline among younger generations. So far, she has produced some youth-targeted comic books characterized by simple yet funny drawings and plain language.
