The Rose
There was once a poor woman who had two children.
The youngest had to go into the forest every day to fetch wood.
Once when she had gone a long way to find it,
a little child,who was quite strong,
came and helped her industriously to pick up the wood and carry it home,
and then before a moment had passed the strange child disappeared.
The child told her mother this,but at first she would not believe it.
One day she brought a rose home,
and told her mother that the beautiful child had given it to her,
and told her that when it was in full bloom,he would return.
The mother put the rose in water.
One morning the child did not get out of bed.
The mother went to the bed and found her dead,but she looked very happy.
On the same morning, the rose was in full bloom.
【篇二】譯文
玫瑰
從前有個(gè)貧窮的婦女，她有倆個(gè)孩子。
小女兒天天要進(jìn)森林去拾柴。
有一回她走了好長(zhǎng)一段路尋找柴火，
一個(gè)十分壯實(shí)的小男孩
過來相助，勤快地拾撿柴火。還幫她背回家。
然后轉(zhuǎn)眼工夫，這個(gè)陌生的小男孩突然消失了。
小女孩把這一切告訴了媽媽，可是媽媽起先還不肯相信。
后來她又帶了一朵玫瑰回家，
告訴媽媽這朵美麗的玫瑰是那位美少年送給她的，
還對(duì)她說，等到花兒盛開的時(shí)候，他就會(huì)回來。
媽媽便把玫瑰養(yǎng)在水里。
一天早上小女兒沒有起床。
媽媽走到床邊發(fā)現(xiàn)她已經(jīng)死了，可是她躺在那里看上去很幸福。
也就在這天早上，那朵玫瑰綻放了。
【篇三】第51期
The Golden Key
In the wintertime, when deep snow lay on the ground,
a poor boy was forced to go out on a sled to fetch wood.
After he had gathered it together,and packed it,
he was so frozen with cold
that he decided to light a fire and warm himself a little.
So he scraped away the snow,and as he was clearing the ground,
he found a tiny golden key.
He thought that where the key was,there must also be a lock,
and dug in the ground and found an iron chest.
If only the key fits!
He thought;no doubt there are precious things in that little box.
He searched,but could find no keyhole.At last he discovered one,
but so small that it was hardly visible.
He tried it,and the key fit perfectly. Then he turned the key,
and now we must wait until he has unlocked it and opened the lid,
and then we will learn what wonderful things were lying in that box.
【篇四】譯文
金鑰匙
冬天的時(shí)候，厚厚的積雪覆蓋著大地，
一個(gè)窮孩子迫不得已坐上雪橇外出撿柴。
他將柴火收集到一起，打成一捆，
這個(gè)時(shí)候的他已經(jīng)凍得瑟瑟發(fā)抖了。
于是他想生一堆火先讓自己暖和暖和。
于是他將雪扒開，當(dāng)他正在清掃地面時(shí)，
發(fā)現(xiàn)了一把小小的金鑰匙。
他馬上想到，在有鑰匙的地方，一定會(huì)有鎖。
于是他掘下去，在地里發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)鐵箱子。
要是鑰匙配上鎖就好了！
他這樣想著，這只小小的箱子里準(zhǔn)有寶貝。
他到處找鎖眼，但找不到，后他終于發(fā)現(xiàn)了，
但小得幾乎看不見。
他試了試，鑰匙恰好對(duì)上。他立刻將鑰匙轉(zhuǎn)了一圈。
現(xiàn)在我們須等待他將鎖打開，掀起箱蓋，
這時(shí)候我們到大家就會(huì)知道箱子里藏著什么奇妙的東西了。
