【第一篇：狐貍和葡萄】
Fox and the Grapes
One hot summer day a fox was walking through an orchard. He stopped before a bunch of grapes. They were ripe and juicy.
"I'm just feeling thirsty," he thought. So he backed up a few paces, got a running start, jumped up, but could not reach the grapes.
He walked back. One, two, three, he jumped up again, but still, he missed the grapes.
The fox tried again and again, but never succeeded. At last he decided to give it up.
He walked away with his nose in the air, and said“I am sure they are sour.”
【譯文】
狐貍和葡萄
一個(gè)炎熱的夏日，狐貍走過(guò)一個(gè)果園，他停在一大串熟透而多汁的葡萄前。
狐貍想：“我正口渴呢�！庇谑撬笸肆藥撞剑蚯耙粵_，跳起來(lái)，卻無(wú)法夠到葡萄。
狐貍后退又試。一次，兩次，三次，但是都沒(méi)有得到葡萄。
狐貍試了一次又一次，都沒(méi)有成功。最后，他決定放棄，他昂起頭,邊走邊說(shuō)：“葡萄還沒(méi)有成熟，我敢肯定它是酸的�！�
寓意: 在經(jīng)歷了許多嘗試而不能獲得成功的時(shí)候，有些人往往故意輕視成功，以此來(lái)尋求心理安慰。
【第二篇：口渴的烏鴉】
Thirsty Crow
The crow and the pitcher A crow felt very thirsty. He looked for water everywhere. Finally, he found a pitcher. But there was not a lot of water in the pitcher. His beak could not reach it. He tried again and again, but still could not touch the water. When he was about to give up, an idea came to him. He took a pebble and dropped it into the pitcher. Then he took another and dropped it in. Gradually, the water rose, and the crow was able to drink the water.
【譯文】
口渴的烏鴉
一只烏鴉口渴了，到處找水喝。終于，他找到了一個(gè)大水罐。然而，水罐里面的水并不多，他的尖嘴夠不到水面，他試了一次又一次，都沒(méi)有成功。就在他想放棄的時(shí)候，他突然想到一個(gè)主意。烏鴉叼來(lái)了一塊小石子投到水罐里，接著又叼了一塊又一塊石頭放進(jìn)去。漸漸地，水面升高了。烏鴉高興地喝到了水。
寓意: 有些東西雖然看起來(lái)微不足道，但如果積少成多，便會(huì)帶來(lái)很大變化。
【第三篇】
The Two Bags
Every man carries Two Bags about with him, one in front and one behind, and both are packed full of faults. The Bag in front contains his neighbours’ faults, the one behind his own. Hence it is that men do not see their own faults, but never fail to see those of others.
【譯文】
兩個(gè)口袋
每個(gè)人生來(lái)都帶著兩個(gè)口袋，一個(gè)在前，一個(gè)在后，兩個(gè)口袋里都滿載缺點(diǎn)。前面那只口袋里裝的是別人的缺點(diǎn)，而后面那只口袋里則裝滿的是自己的缺點(diǎn)。因此，人們總是看不見自己的缺點(diǎn)，卻永遠(yuǎn)也不會(huì)忽視去看別人的缺點(diǎn)。
