此外，“bachelor”這個(gè)詞也可以專門表示“光棍”。
He is a bachelor; once he is fed, no one is hungry in his family.
（他是光棍兒一條，一人吃飽全家不餓。）
我們知道，“bachelor”還可以表示“獲學(xué)士學(xué)位的人”。那么，為什么這個(gè)詞既是“光棍”又是“學(xué)士”的意思呢？有種說法是以前的學(xué)校都是男女分校，也就是我們常說的“unisexual school”，導(dǎo)致學(xué)士都是光棍啦！不過究竟是不是這個(gè)原因就無從考證啦。
最后，幾天后即將要到來的“光棍節(jié)”，就是“Single's Day”了。
