　　77. The most effective way to understand contemporary culture is to analyze the trends of its youth.

　　25. Governments should offer college and university education free of charge to all students.

　　44. Claim: It is no longer possible for a society to regard any living man or woman as a hero.

　　Reason: The reputation of anyone who is subjected to media scrutiny will eventually be diminished.

　　102. Universities should require every student to take a variety of courses outside the student's field of study.

　　以上四道題目是李暉老師在考試后所收到的第一時(shí)間反饋，后三道李暉老師在GRE的強(qiáng)化和直通車(chē)班上都會(huì)有詳細(xì)的展開(kāi)。

　　77題是一道結(jié)構(gòu)性很清楚的題目，大部分學(xué)生都會(huì)知道MOST effective的解題結(jié)構(gòu)就是“承認(rèn)合理性，指出相對(duì)缺陷，提出一個(gè)同等有用的方法”，結(jié)構(gòu)清楚，其實(shí)重點(diǎn)就在語(yǔ)言上。

　　首先，Issue的寫(xiě)作，對(duì)于希望拿高分的同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō)非常重要，基本上作者是看到題目，思考了10秒就開(kāi)始進(jìn)行開(kāi)頭的寫(xiě)作，腦海中只有一個(gè)想法 “the essay length, fancy words and a sprinkling of random, esoteric facts all correlate with high essay scores.”事實(shí)上，文章的長(zhǎng)度，華麗的用詞以及偶爾掉個(gè)書(shū)袋都和高分文章緊密聯(lián)系。

　　Argument：

　　76. The following appeared in a newsletter offering advice to investors.

　　"Over 80 percent of the respondents to a recent survey indicated a desire to reduce their intake of foods containing fats and cholesterol, and today low-fat products abound in many food stores. Since many of the food products currently marketed by Old Dairy Industries are high in fat and cholesterol, the company's sales are likely to diminish greatly and company profits will no doubt decrease. We therefore advise Old Dairy stockholders to sell their shares, and other investors not to purchase stock in this company.”

　　說(shuō)得是關(guān)于銷(xiāo)售高脂肪和高膽固醇食品的公司股東如何對(duì)待股票的問(wèn)題。

　　重點(diǎn)邏輯反駁點(diǎn)可以是：

　　1. survey，關(guān)于證詞類(lèi)話題的討論;

　　2. intention vs action：關(guān)于人們是都真的會(huì)如同調(diào)查中所說(shuō)的改變自己的消費(fèi)習(xí)慣

　　3. Old Dairy的innovation的問(wèn)題：這家公司是不是已經(jīng)有相關(guān)的市場(chǎng)策略。

　　下面這道題目是我們今天要講解的重點(diǎn)，這是一道相對(duì)來(lái)說(shuō)有點(diǎn)難度的題目，也是一道必須要看writing instruction的難題。

　　74. The president of Grove College has recommended that the college abandon its century-old tradition of all-female education and begin admitting men. Pointing to other all-female colleges that experienced an increase in applications after adopting coeducation, the president argues that coeducation would lead to a significant increase in applications and enrollment. However, the director of the alumnae association opposes the plan. Arguing that all-female education is essential to the very identity of the college, the director cites annual surveys of incoming students in which these students say that the school's all-female status was the primary reason they selected Grove. The director also points to a survey of Grove alumnae in which a majority of respondents strongly favored keeping the college all female.

　　Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether therecommendation and the argument on which it is based are reasonable. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.

　　這個(gè)題目跟之前不一樣的是，之前是要學(xué)生來(lái)評(píng)價(jià)一個(gè)論點(diǎn)，現(xiàn)在是在這個(gè)論證中，已經(jīng)有人開(kāi)始互相反駁了，那學(xué)生要做的，就是看要選邊來(lái)站。這道題目，我們推薦加強(qiáng)recommendation，削弱opposition的方式在展開(kāi)，會(huì)比較容易展開(kāi)。(建議手機(jī)橫屏閱讀)
