Xinhua News Agencys Guangdong branch is recruiting a student intern for cross-cultural news reporting.
Chief responsibility is to assist Xinhua journalists in covering local and international affairs happening in Guangdong. The position is based in Guangzhou.
Concrete tasks may include research, interviewing, writing and editing for Xinhuas bilingual news wire and English-language TV station, the CNC World.
You will be offered opportunities to learn first-hand journalistic experience in the fields of TV, printed media and even photography if you have interest and some related skills.
The candidate must be proficient in spoken and written English, and able to work for at least one month, 3 - 4 full days each week.
English majors are preferred. The position is also open to other majors who can demonstrate the above-mentioned qualifications.
The internship provides journalism related trainings, hands-on guidance and chances of field reporting. No salary is offered, but usually the interns lunch expenses can ben reimbursed.
