微軟亞洲研究院是微軟公司在美國本土之外的基礎(chǔ)科研機(jī)構(gòu)，被美國技術(shù)雜志MIT 《Technology Review》譽(yù)為“世界上最火的計(jì)算機(jī)實(shí)驗(yàn)室”。 自1998年成立以來，啟動(dòng)了面向亞太區(qū)高校博士生、碩士生和優(yōu)秀本科生的“明日之星”實(shí)習(xí)生項(xiàng)目。該項(xiàng)目由微軟亞洲研究院和國內(nèi)外高校共同執(zhí)行，旨在培養(yǎng)高素質(zhì)的計(jì)算機(jī)基礎(chǔ)研究人才。實(shí)習(xí)生進(jìn)入微軟亞洲研究院后深入到每個(gè)研究小組進(jìn)行為期三個(gè)月或更長時(shí)間的實(shí)習(xí)。截止至2011年9月，已有4000名來自亞太區(qū)高校的學(xué)生到微軟亞洲研究院實(shí)習(xí)，平均每年有400個(gè)實(shí)習(xí)機(jī)會開放給所有的學(xué)生。

Group Overview
The Research Connections Group nurtures strong mutually supportive partnerships between MSR Asia and the academic community. Since MSR Asia’s inception, the Research Connections program has recognized the inherent value of the academic research community and the need for collaboration between academia and industry to advance the state-of-the-art in computer science. The foundation for all Microsoft Research’s Research Connections efforts is a deep respect for the “virtuous cycle” that is created when university and industry researchers work together.
Roles & Responsibilities
Microsoft Research Asia Research Connections Group is looking for an intern who will assist Research Connections Members with program coordination and related support.
Required Qualifications:
o Good programming skills (C#, Asp.Net, Ajax);
o Knowledge in HTML, JavaScript, and SQL is required. Have background and experience on web development;
o Knowledge in SharePoint development is required.
o Experienced in text information retrieval is preferred;
o Passion for UI design, experiences in a full web site product cycle is preferred;
o Good communication skill and excellent teamwork;
o Highly-motivated, with proven coding and debugging abilities;
o Passionate, persistent, but disciplined about pursuing quality;
o Good reading and written English;
o Can commit 4~5 full-days per week. Can get advisor’s written approval.
