微軟亞洲研究院是微軟公司在美國本土之外的基礎(chǔ)科研機(jī)構(gòu)，被美國技術(shù)雜志 MIT《Technology Review》譽(yù)為"世界上最火的計算機(jī)實(shí)驗(yàn)室"。 自1998年成立以來，啟 動了面向亞太區(qū)高校博士生、碩士生和優(yōu)秀本科生的"明日之星"實(shí)習(xí)生項(xiàng)目。該項(xiàng)目由微 軟亞洲研究院和國內(nèi)外高校共同執(zhí)行，旨在培養(yǎng)高素質(zhì)的計算機(jī)基礎(chǔ)研究人才。實(shí)習(xí)生進(jìn)入 微軟亞洲研究院后深入到每個研究小組進(jìn)行為期三個月或更長時間的實(shí)習(xí)。截止至2011年1 0月，已有4000名來自亞太區(qū)高校的學(xué)生到微軟亞洲研究院實(shí)習(xí)，平均每年有400個實(shí)習(xí)機(jī)會 開放給所有的學(xué)生。

一.機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)組 Position: Full-time Intern Group: Machine learning group Quantity: 1 Work Location: Beijing

Group Overview Researchers of Machine Learning Group are turning their ideas into reality in ar eas such as data mining, machine learning, user modeling and text understanding. Projects pushing the state-of-the-art forward include information retrieval, on line advertising and mobile computing systems.

Roles & Responsibilities Combine your passion for research and coding.? Join Machine Learning group as a research intern. This internship will be fun for students who love artificial in telligence.? As an intern, you will have opportunity to: Study cutting edge technologies of mobile computing products/services which are released to markets and also powered by machine intelligence; Innovate wow ideas and technologies to impact peoples daily work and life; Put your thoughts into research prototype and try it on clients like Windows pho ne, Windows 8 device or even others You will collaborate with a team consisting of researchers, designers and resear ch software development engineers.? 二.移動傳感組 Position: Full-time Intern Group: Mobile and Sensing Systems (MASS) Quantity: 1 Work Location: Beijing

Group Overview The Mobile and Sensing Systems Group (MASS) at Microsoft Research Asia is invest igating some of the most exciting research problems arising from mobile and sens ing systems and applications. Given the ubiquity of networked sensors and actuat ors, proliferation of smartphones, and ever-increasing urgency to address societ al scale challenges, we believe future mobile and sensing systems will have a si gnificant impact on our everyday lives, from environment, to health, energy, pro ductivity, and entertainment. We are currently working on a number of topics, in cluding mobile systems, sensor networks, localization, energy efficiency, partic ipatory sensing, activity recognition, and smart buildings.

Roles & Responsibilities The intern will be working on research projects in the areas of: embedded device s, wireless networking, and mobile systems.

Required Qualifications: Hands-on experiences in hardware and embedded devices Strong programming skills Solid foundation in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field Interested in the areas of embedded systems, mobility, and wireless networking. Good at English reading and writing Good communication skills and excellent teamwork Can commit at least 3 months, 5 days a week (with your advisors approval where applicable) Experiences with any of the following would be a plus but not required: Experiences with circuit design, PCB design and layout Experiences in mobile phone development environments and tools Experiences with RFID and/or RF design and debugging Driver development Experiences with TinyOS development Familiar with data manipulation and math programs such as Matlab Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and application

三.學(xué)術(shù)合作部 Position: Full-time Intern Group: Microsoft Research Connection Quantity: 1 Work Location: Beijing

Roles & Responsibilities The interns will be working with Bei Li, for MRC group internal and external com munication. He/she will also work with Xin Ma, for MSRA Alumni Program.

Required Qualifications: MS/PhD in IT related majors are a plus; Strong English and Chinese writing skills. Computer Science related background is plus. Good communications, project management and interpersonal skills. Well-organized, initiative taking and self-motivated. Related work and voluntary experience a plus. Knowledge on Computer Science is a plus. Preferred to work at least 6 months, with permissions from your academic advisor
