Unit 3    Who is taller?

  Students   Description: Grade Six

  Students   Level:  Level   Two

  Teaching   Materials: Lesson 1, Unit  3, Book 5,Langman

  Teaching   Objectives: After this period, the students will be able to

  1.學(xué)生能聽,說,讀,寫big ,small,heavy,light等生詞,并了解其含義。

  2.能初步掌握形容詞比較級(jí)的變化形式及句型“物體/人物A+be+形容詞的比較級(jí)+than+物體/人物B(+be)。”。

  Key Points:              1.形容詞“big ,small, heavy,light, dear,cheap”的運(yùn)用。

  2.學(xué)生能聽懂,會(huì)說主要句型“物體/人物A+be+形容詞的比較級(jí)+than+物體/人物B(+be).”。

  Difficult Points:      1. 句型“物體/人物A+be+形容詞的比較級(jí)+than+物體/人物B(+be).”的運(yùn)用。

  Teaching  Aids:      1.大象,老鼠的圖片各一張。

  2. 牛津字典一本。

  Teaching  Steps:

  Step One: A. Greetings.(1’)

  B. Warming up: Simon says(2’)

  o  Simon says : touch your nose

  o  Play basketball

  o  Simon says : put up your left hand

  o  Stand up

  o  Simon says : Attention

  老師說到最后一步時(shí),學(xué)生的反應(yīng)是說出“ONE ,TWO”。老師用這個(gè)游戲來緩解學(xué)生的緊張情緒。

  C. Review the words

  The teacher does the action or shows the pictures, then the students say it out and spell it.

  ◇ tall ,short ,strong ,weak ,young, old .

  同時(shí),說到weak時(shí),應(yīng)適當(dāng)?shù)靥嵝褜W(xué)生它的同音詞week。

  Step Two: Presentation (10’)

  (1)   big –small

  T: Look at the picture. What is this?

  Ss: It is  an  elephant.

  T: What is it like?

  Ss: It is big .

  T: Big .B-I-G,big.(板書)

  Ss: ……

  口訣:大的,大的,big ;big ,big ,big 。

  操練:小組。

  T: BIG的反義詞是什么?

  Ss:小的,SMALL。

  T: Good .Small.S-M-A-L-L,small.(板書)

  Ss: ……

  口訣:小的,小的,small ;small ,small ,small。

  操練:小組。

  (2) heavy –light

  T: Look here. This is a dictionary. This is an English book. Which one is heavy, the right one or the left one? ( 老師右手拿起英語書,左手那起字典,比重。)

  Ss: The right one.

  T: Wonderful! This one is heavy.  Follow me, heavy.(板書)

  Ss: Heavy.

  口訣:重的,重的,heavy ; heavy, heavy, heavy。

  操練:boys and one by one 。

  注意:heavy的讀音 y-/?/。

  T: heavy的反義詞是……

  Ss: Light.

  T: Great. Light. L-I-G-H-T, light.(板書)

  Ss: ……

  口訣:輕的,輕的,light ; light, light, light。

  操練:girls and one by one 。

  (3)   dear –cheap

  拿出一個(gè)小小的腰包,讓學(xué)生猜價(jià)格,來引出dear 和cheap。

  口訣:貴的,貴的,dear ; dear, dear, dear。

  操練: one by one.

  Step Three: Practice(2’)

  (1)   Read the whole words again.

  (2)   Touch game :學(xué)生看老師的嘴形說出單詞,2位參賽者快速地拍打相應(yīng)的圖片,次數(shù)大概是1-2次。

  Step Four: Learn the sentences(10’)

  T: Just now, we learned the new words: dear and cheap .My bag is dear. His bag is cheap. So, my bag is dearer than his bag.猜猜我的包比他的包要怎么樣?

  Ss: 貴的,dear。

  T: Yes. Good. Dearer. My bag is dearer than his bag.(板書)

  操練:小組(鉛筆,書)

  T:那么這句話的同義句如何說呢?他的包比我的要……?

  Ss:便宜。Cheap.

  T: Cheaper. We can say :His bag is cheaper than my bag.

  操練:pair work(鉛筆,書)

  Step Five :Practice the sentence(6’)

  T: Look at the blackboard. Here are some words .Read the words once.1.2.3.

  Ss: tall, short, young, old, strong, weak.

  T:他們都是直接在詞后加er變?yōu)樗谋容^級(jí)。這里er發(fā)/?/,這里怎么讀呢?

  S1:taller,shorter……

  T:用這些單詞來造一個(gè)句子,例如:** is  taller  than  **.(叫同學(xué)做示范)還可以怎么樣來描述他們呢?
