Gordon: What's going on?
Molly: Nothing much, just the usual. Why do you ask?
Gordon: Your nose is running and you seem like you have a fever.
Molly: How do you know?
Gordon: I can see your symptoms. We should go to see a doctor.
Molly: I will teach you some Emergency English on the drive to the hospital.
Gordon: Great. I hope the English-speaking doctor can help me.
戈登：最近怎么樣?
莫莉：沒什么新鮮的，老樣子。為什么這么問?
戈登：你在流鼻涕，你看起來像是在發(fā)燒。
莫莉：你怎么知道的?
戈登：從你的癥狀看出來的。我們應(yīng)該去看醫(yī)生。
莫莉：去醫(yī)院的路上我會教你一些急診英語。
戈登：太好了。我希望那個說英語的醫(yī)生能幫我。

Doc: Please tell me about your symptoms.
Tim: My nose is constantly running. I have a fever and I vomited a few times. Do you think it is a cold?
Doc: Sorry to say, no. I think it may be the flu.
Tim: Is the flu more serious than a cold?
Doc: Correct. The flu that is going around is rather bad.
Tim: My friend Mary was also vomiting yesterday. Do you think she gave the flu to me?
Doc: Maybe. You should come into to the hospital ASAP. (As Soon As Possible)
醫(yī)生：請把你的癥狀告訴我。
蒂姆：我老流鼻涕、發(fā)燒、還吐了好幾次。您覺得我這是感冒嗎?
醫(yī)生：不是，我想可能是流感。
蒂姆：流感比感冒更嚴重嗎?
醫(yī)生：是的。流感四處傳染，更糟。
蒂姆：我的朋友瑪麗昨天也吐了，是她傳染給我的嗎?
醫(yī)生：可能。你應(yīng)該盡快來醫(yī)院。

Tim : Remember last month when we both had the flu?
Mary: Of course, I was vomiting for days. My nose ran for a week and my stomach hurt for longer than that.
Tim : The doctor said we both had the same symptoms.
Mary: Yesterday I had a dry throat and a runny eyes.
Tim : Did you see a doctor?
Mary: No, it wasn't very serious. I am fine today. It was just a mild cold.
Tim : I am glad it wasn't the flu again. Having the flu was a serious illness. I missed work for 5 days.
蒂姆：還記得上個月我們一起得流感嗎?
瑪麗：當(dāng)然記得，我吐了好幾天。流了一星期鼻涕，胃疼的時間更長。
蒂姆：醫(yī)生說我們的癥狀一樣。
瑪麗：昨天我嗓子發(fā)干，還流眼淚。
蒂姆：你看醫(yī)生了嗎?
瑪麗：沒有，不是很嚴重。今天沒事了，只是小感冒。
蒂姆：還好沒再得流感。流感真是很嚴重，我五天沒上班。
